The McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houstons Department of Neurology is seeking an experienced General Neurologist Assistant Professor for our Sugarland location .

The successful candidate will participate in outpatient clinical care, research and educational programs within the Department of Neurology.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Clinical responsibilities include up to five days of general neurology clinic a week with one week of inpatient consult only coverage, including one weekend. There are reduced outpatient schedules for that week. Acute stroke call is not required, which is covered by Telemedicine providers. Opportunities for EEG and EMG are available and will be supported. Teaching opportunities are available if desired. The position is affiliated with the McGovern Medical school, the 6th largest medical school in the nation with a robust Neurology residency program.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be graduates of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and should be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the ABPN and be licensed in the state of Texas (or eligible to be licensed).
