The University of Texas School of Public Health at Houston (UTHealth) Shool of Public Health invites applicants to fill a nontenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level on the Houston Campus located in the Texas Medical Center. One position is available and affiliated with the Center for Health Care Data, a research center within the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health.

Position Key Accountabilities:

The primary job responsibilities will be:

  1. Providing statistical expertise on clinical research and population health studies;

  2. Overseeing data management and data analysis on multiple studies;

  3. Co-authoring publications;

  4. Providing statistical analysis and support for new grant applications;

  5. Assisting int the development of our evidence based, population health research by training and

developing graduate students and post-doctoral fellows; and

  1. Developing and co-teaching current and certificate courses in the use of large healthcare datasets for research

Qualifications : a Ph.D. or Dr.PH. in decision science, healthcare analytics or related disciplines, and with experience in operations research, health policy, and/or public health are required.

Preferences : Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in teaching and enthusiasm for working with students and post-doctoral fellows to address public health policy issues.
