McGovern Medical School, at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), Department of Anesthesiology is actively recruiting qualified candidates for faculty positions of all academic levels for General Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine (Medical/Surgical Critical Care or Transplant Critical Care). We are seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals with a strong interest in clinical research and resident/fellow education. Applicants with an interest in translational research are welcome.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Duties will include:

  • Provide critical care medical services for patients in affiliated hospitals of UTHealth

  • Provide anesthesiology and perioperative medical services for patients in affiliated hospitals of UTHealth

  • Contribute to the academic and scholarly productivity of the department of Anesthesiology

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine

  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas.

  • ACGME Accredited Residency Program in Anesthesiology (1 year general house staff and 3 years of anesthesiology residency)

  • 1 year of fellowship training in an ACGME Accredited Critical Care Medicine program.

Academic rank and compensation is competitive and will be commensurate to qualifications.
