To provide technical expertise for faculty, students and staff with the use of audio equipment, visual projection and conferencing systems including assistance and training for users on audio visual systems.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Operates, installs, and distributes specialty equipment to various locations.
Routinely inspects and solves complex repair and maintenance of equipment.
Conducts digital audio recording, production and management of digital recordings and maintaining archives.
Provides technical support and/or assistance with event planning, AV equipment setups and music productions to UTHealth events.
Maintains the stability and integrity of projection systems, audio hardware and management of AV equipment.
Supervises equipment loan check in/out, maintenance, inventory and paperwork.
May supervise and assist with routine job assignments of less experienced team members.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience in multi-platform applications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Training in Electronics and Audio-Visual instruction preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
Four years experience in the operation and maintenance of audio and visual electronics equipment in multimedia environment is required.
Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
