An exciting opportunity is available to work on the analysis of large-scale genetic data in a collaborative research setting of international studies on cardiovascular disease. We have collected genomic data on large epidemiologic cohort samples to investigate the relationship between genetic variation and cardio-metabolic risk factors. This position provides an opportunity to develop and implement analysis plans and to present study findings in collaboration with investigators at several national and international institutions.
Develop and implement R programs in the Linux environment.
Use R or other specialized genetic software to perform statistical analyses.
Present summary reports and assist in the interpretation of the statistical findings.
Implement novel analysis methods as needed by the research program.
Maintain and update the analytical software and research database.
Excellent knowledge of the Linux environment, R programming is required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
Demonstrates proficiency with statistical methods and applications in clinical research.
Experience in data analysis of large administrative datasets (claims, registries, EMR) and observational studies.
SAS experienced preferred.
Master’s degree in related health science. PhD preferred.
Two years of statistician experience.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
