Provides direct and indirect advanced levels of patient care for medical emergencies under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. The Paramedic is responsible for driving a first response vehicle to acute stroke 911 calls.

Position Key Accountabilities:
Documents vital signs of patient and provides acute standard of care treatment.
Cares for patients in critical condition.
Ensures safe care to patients while adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
Assists in lifting, carrying and transporting patients.
Maintains supplies, ensures ambulance and equipment maintenance.
Other duties as assigned.
Current Paramedic License issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Current Driver’s License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Current City of Houston Ambulance Driver’s License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
