The Department of Anesthesiology and the Center for Perioperative Medicine (CPM) at McGovern Medical School would like to invite applications for tenure-track full professor faculty positions. We are particularly interested in applicants with independent funding who are passionate about pursuing translational research related to the fields of neurodegenerative, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities include developing extramural funding and actively participating in research activities of the CPM. Research, work experience, and training will be directed towards studying endogenous pathways. These pathways will be applied to define novel treatment approaches to disease. This will include a large array of molecular biology, cell biology, and immunologic approaches, combined with studies utilizing physiological animal models. You are expected to perform, troubleshoot, and succeed in pursuing such studies based on your previous training. There will be no patient care or patient contact.

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals should have an MD or PhD degree and at least 6 years of faculty experience.
