Position Summary:

Assistswiththeday-to-daysupport andadministrativeprojectmanagementfor research projects of considerable scope and complexity. The coordinator will work closely with the project PI and investigators to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

We seek to hire experienced individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about translating research into practice to improve community health outcomes. This position offers a hybrid schedule with the flexibility of remote and in-office work at UTHealth Houston, Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX. Our institute is dedicated to accelerating the application of evidence to enhance population health in real-world settings. We aim to bridge the gap between research and practice by leveraging implementation science. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to engage in pioneering implementation research and collaborate with expert faculty members in the field of implementation science.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Providesday-to-daysupport andprojectmanagementcoordinationforresearchprojects.

  2. Assists in the preparation of budgets, progress reports and grant proposals for submission to both private foundations and governmentalagencies.

  3. Assistswithevent scheduling, organization, coordination, and facilitation. Attends planning meetings to help prepare event agendas and logistics. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth execution of events

  4. Provide administrative support for training programs and other Institute initiatives, including seminars, workshops, and courses. Maintain records and communicate effectively with participants, instructors, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience.

  5. Maintainsconfidentialrecordsofcollecteddata,ensuresaccuracyandintegrityofdata.Datamayinclude patient data and departmental programmatic data.

  6. Prepares draft reports and communications for the departmental program/divisionleadership.

  7. Interactswithrepresentativesfromstate,federal,andprivateagenciesregardingproposalsandfundedprojects.

  8. Provides work administrative direction and guidance to administrative staff personnel withindepartment.

  9. May review contracts and developtraining.

  10. Other duties asassigned.


Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Working knowledge of MS Office.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
