Position Summary:

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist focuses on positive organic performance of the practice plan¿s web pages. Contributes to the development of content strategy, link building, and keywords to increase rankings on all major search networks. The SEO specialist is responsible for managing the practice plan's information architecture, content development, and online optimization.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develops and implements effective SEO strategies that increase website traffic, improve visibility, and enhance user experience.

  2. Conducts keyword research, competitive analysis, and create content strategies for website optimization.

  3. Monitors daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance.

  4. Works closely with cross-functional teams including content, design, and development to implement on-page optimization tactics.

  5. Writes compelling and high-quality website content, including blog posts, news articles, and page descriptions.

  6. Stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends and search engine algorithms to adjust strategies accordingly.

  7. Supports comprehensive efforts to keep content up-to-date for UT Physicians.

  8. Creates usage reports, establishes KPIs, generates custom dashboards for stakeholders, and assists in developing direct response marketing campaigns on social media, banner ads, email marketing, video marketing, and the web content management systems.

  9. Analyzes and tracks reporting models in digital marketing and generate monthly reports on all SEO efforts.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.

Experience with website analysis tools such as Google Analytics, SEMRush, and Ahrefs.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
