The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, McGovern Medical School is seeking an optometrist with training and an interest in treating pediatric patients to join our Department of Ophthalmology.

Position Key Accountabilities

The Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology with the University of Texas in Houston is looking for an individual to serve an integral role in our department, with a particular interest and focus in pediatric care. Duties will include working with and supporting our pediatric ophthalmology service. Depending upon interest and department need, some adult comprehensive care may be incorporated. This is a staff position, however, should academic potential be demonstrated, transitioning to an academic appointment may be considered.

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a degree in optometry and a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Temporary License.
