UTHealths Office of Development is looking for a part time support assistant who would be available twenty hours during normal business hours Monday through Friday. This employee performs a variety of basic to moderately complex clerical tasks to support this office. Development works with donations to the University, so a background in banking or finance would be preferred. Any previous work with development is extremely desirable. You will mainly doing data entry for our gift program. You may working on receipts or creating tribute cards. This requires an individual with attention to detail, and someone that can do tedious tasks that involve precision and accuracy. This is a part time role that will be working twenty hours a week in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. This role is classifed as non-exempt and paid hourly.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Handles general inquiries, collects and processes paperwork such as document processing, record keeping, and report compilation.
Transcribes correspondence and memoranda; prepares graphs; tables and manuscripts; prepares reports and presentation materials.
Schedules and maintains calendars and travel itineraries; coordinates related arrangements in compliance with all University, governmental, and/or grant policies and guidelines.
May maintain and reconcile assigned financial records/ reports for area.
Completes and processes forms and documents using standard policies and procedures.
Maintains financial record keeping systems.
Schedules meetings and rooms, invites participants, and arranges refreshments and equipment as needed. May prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
Maintains office supplies and equipment.
Screens calls and receives and directs visitors.
Handles basic, noncomplex inquiries.
May advise on basic policy and processes as assigned by supervisor
Other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of standard Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year related work experience required. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
