The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, is seeking an expert in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) to join as a full-time faculty at the Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor level in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at the McGovern Medical School. Our ACHD program provides excellent imaging, electrophysiology, heart failure, catheterization, and comprehensive adult subspecialty support.
The candidate will join our multidisciplinary ACHD program that includes faculty members from Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics and Surgery at Memorial Hermann Hospital at Texas Medical Center, and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. In addition to the ACHD faculty, the program is supported by a team of 16 pediatric cardiologists, 4 adult heart failure specialists, 3 pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, 6 adult cardiothoracic surgeons, 8 pediatric cardiology fellows, 2 physician extenders, and a dedicated social worker.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The candidate will hold position as an Assistant/ Associate Professor or Professor in Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Medicine, and Adjunct Professor in Pediatrics/Pediatric Cardiology.
The ideal candidate would help develop the program into a nationally renowned ACHD program. Our ACHD program provides excellent imaging, electrophysiology, heart failure, catheterization, and comprehensive adult subspecialty support.
Candidate must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and be Board Certified/Eligible in ACHD. Applicants should have outstanding achievements in clinical care, research and teaching, and share our commitment to excellence, integrity, and program development for this important patient population.

The position is supported with a competitive salary and faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School.
