Coordinates the Patient Relations functions. Assesses client issues and facilitates appropriate action in order to ensure optimal customer service. Plans and implements procedures to improve service excellence and maintain patient satisfaction and clinic goals.
Patient relations representative are responsible for interacting with and providing great service to patients and their families, including responding to questions, filling out paperwork, providing information, and serving as liaisons for our school. Organize and maintain clinical databases and registries, compile, process, and maintain medical records for the school in a manner consistent with regulatory requirements.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Provides administrative and technical professional skills to assess, analyze and report client issues and facilitate and resolve actions to ensure the clinics are in compliance with legislation and other regulatory standards, optimize patient experience and minimize disruption.
Collaborates with both internal and external groups to assess, negotiate and resolve client issues and concerns.
Organizes and implements a plan designed to cultivate and maintain a high level of service excellence.
Monitors patient satisfaction scores and provides feedback to physicians and staff on their level of performance.
Provides regular feedback to the Senior Administration on patient complaints, patient satisfaction survey scores, allegations or regulatory issues.
Serves as administrator and liaison with regulatory bodies such as FairWarning on behalf of the clinical administration to monitor inappropriate access to patient’s records and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Provides ongoing review/ assessment of the dental record functions within the EHR; stays up to date with regulatory changes and coordinates activities to maintain and ensure compliance.
Coordinates clinical front office operations and MOU with inter-institutional clients.
Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
May manage Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree. May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.
Three years of experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
